So after a period of time dying my hair and re-dying the roots of my hair due to hair growing too quickly! I've decided to go back to NATURAL BLACK.
I have actually missed my natural black hair colour and wasn't patient enough to wait for the hair to grow out and to live with the colour contrast of brown/black hair any longer!
I have previously dyed my hair black before to hide away the roots but it was a horrible experience because instead of a
natural black, I chose a colour that turned out to be jet black.. very important difference(!)
I ended up hating myself for a few days and searching ways on how to lift out some of the black colour.
Thankfully, I came across a method of using crushed vitamin C tablets and took the advice from a salon to use Deep Cleanse shampoo to wash the hair everyday.
I combined the 2 methods and added crushed vitamin C tablets with some shampoo, massaged it into my hair and left it for 10-15 minutes before washing it all out.
This process makes the hair very DRY, so a lot of conditioner needs to be applied to put back the moisture!
Overall, I only carried out this process 2 or 3 times and I could see some of the brown colour appearing!
Praise the lord, it WORKED!! ^0^
After a while, my roots were coming out again! So I dyed it with Prettia in Glossy Brown:
Roots are covered! (for now..)
After only a short while, the roots were starting to show and I just could not be bothered to re-dye the roots brown as I will have to keep doing this every other month it seems!
And it will be wasting money, time and very bad for my hair!
I guess I have enjoyed the first time of changing my hair colour after a long long break of keeping it natural! But for me, my hair grows too quickly and so dying my hair a lighter colour and maintaining it will always be short-lived :(
However, I actually do love my natural hair colour! For this final hair dye (for a very long time now), I chose to use Dariya Palty hair colour in Natural Black! I had to follow through with the 'Natural' black this time because of the stress I went through last time!
The instructions were in Japanese but I had someone to translate it AND help me apply it haha :3
As expected, the black dye covered all of the brown-ness! :)
Voila! At first my hair looked really black (almost gothic black like before..), however after a week or so, the colour started to look very natural indeed! And now after a few more weeks, the hair shows up as dark brown in bright light which is fine with me as my hair is not completely black to begin with!
Conclusion: Happy chappy with the results! :D
