HAPPY New Year 2013!
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2013!
2012 has been a very good year for me. For the first time, my 3 main goals have been achieved; to lose weight, pass my driving test and get a full time job. Now it's time to make new goals for 2013!
2012 has also been a very important year for me for my career progression since graduating in 2010. Having graduated with a science degree and spending the following year accrediting the degree in 2011, the job market and opportunities for scientific roles became more and more impossible for me to break into. To put it in simple terms, I had little passion for the field. Everyday waking up to the same old job hunting routine was starting to become depressing. My future seemed very uncertain and I had lost a lot of motivation along the way. I was forcing myself to go into becoming a biomedical scientist because logically that was all I knew - at least on paper. It all soon came to realisation at the end of 2011 that I developed a true passion for a completely different profession - accountancy. I have always enjoyed subjects involving maths and the more I researched about working in this field, the more fascinated hopeful and I became with it. I honestly had not thought of switching to a new career such as accounting and finance. And I am very glad I found a strong connection with it.
The start of 2012 was when I began my first accounting studies with AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), the level 1 introductory course confirmed my passion and interest to pursue this as a career choice, and I was more than happy to give up a future in science. It felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of me. My life was turned around - and this time for the better. I cannot begin to explain the relief and joy of this feeling, to escape from the state of limbo and the everyday battles believing there was no hope for a bright future.
It has been quite a long journey to find what I really want to do in life and I think I am just at the beginning of learning more about myself and how to enjoy life to the fullest. I want to say a big thank you to all of those who have contributed in the process of me finding my real passion and turning my life around. It has been a truely emotional time for me for which I am very grateful for the end results.
One of my New Year resolutions is to keep a list of the goals I want to achieve this year, however big or small, to remind me to challenge myself everyday and always aim to be the best that I can be.

Dariya Palty Japan Colour Hair Dye - Natural Black
So after a period of time dying my hair and re-dying the roots of my hair due to hair growing too quickly! I've decided to go back to NATURAL BLACK.
I have actually missed my natural black hair colour and wasn't patient enough to wait for the hair to grow out and to live with the colour contrast of brown/black hair any longer!
I have previously dyed my hair black before to hide away the roots but it was a horrible experience because instead of a natural black, I chose a colour that turned out to be jet black.. very important difference(!)
I ended up hating myself for a few days and searching ways on how to lift out some of the black colour.
Thankfully, I came across a method of using crushed vitamin C tablets and took the advice from a salon to use Deep Cleanse shampoo to wash the hair everyday.
I combined the 2 methods and added crushed vitamin C tablets with some shampoo, massaged it into my hair and left it for 10-15 minutes before washing it all out.
This process makes the hair very DRY, so a lot of conditioner needs to be applied to put back the moisture!
Overall, I only carried out this process 2 or 3 times and I could see some of the brown colour appearing!
Praise the lord, it WORKED!! ^0^
After a while, my roots were coming out again! So I dyed it with Prettia in Glossy Brown:
The instructions were in Japanese but I had someone to translate it AND help me apply it haha :3
As expected, the black dye covered all of the brown-ness! :)

Roots are covered! (for now..)
After only a short while, the roots were starting to show and I just could not be bothered to re-dye the roots brown as I will have to keep doing this every other month it seems!
And it will be wasting money, time and very bad for my hair!
I guess I have enjoyed the first time of changing my hair colour after a long long break of keeping it natural! But for me, my hair grows too quickly and so dying my hair a lighter colour and maintaining it will always be short-lived :(
However, I actually do love my natural hair colour! For this final hair dye (for a very long time now), I chose to use Dariya Palty hair colour in Natural Black! I had to follow through with the 'Natural' black this time because of the stress I went through last time!

Voila! At first my hair looked really black (almost gothic black like before..), however after a week or so, the colour started to look very natural indeed! And now after a few more weeks, the hair shows up as dark brown in bright light which is fine with me as my hair is not completely black to begin with!
Conclusion: Happy chappy with the results! :D
